The Rob Burrow MND Rose is strong, healthy, reliable, and utterly charming. Plant growth is bushy and upright with dense, glossy, dark green foliage.
As the buds form, they are tinged with light green, transforming into blooms of soft yellow. The centre petals are golden amber, with an occasional pink hue.
Flowers are attractive in shape and packed full, with up to 40 petals per bloom, giving a pleasing myrrh scent. This variety is suitable for beds, borders, and especially large patio pots.
Former Leeds Rhinos scrum-half Rob Burrow MBE was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in December 2019, just two years after ending his playing career by captaining Leeds to a record-extending eighth Super League Grand Final.
Now a MND Association Patron, Rob is one of an estimated 5,000 adults in the UK currently living with MND. Every day, an average of six people are diagnosed with MND. The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, funding research, and campaigning for people living with, or affected by, MND.
Supplied as a freshly potted, professional quality plant in a 3L pot. Please note at certain times of the year this variety may be supplied in a 4L pot.
£2.50p from the sale of each rose will be paid to the MND Association (a registered charity in England and Wales (charity number 294354).
