Few flowers boast the same thought-provoking aura that emanates from delightful perennial poppies, such as ‘Red Rumble’ Papaver.
Also known as a Papaver orientale, this variety produces large, intensely red flowers held up on strong and upright stems, growing from a compact plant that remains tidy and uniform in the garden.
A characteristic dark splotch can be seen at the centre of each large bloom, followed by seed heads. The green foliage is covered in silver hairs, remaining full of colour throughout the flowering process, making it ideal for planting in beds, borders, and pots.
The strong stems also make these beauties perfect for cutting, to be brought inside and enjoyed for even longer – just make sure to plant plenty to share with family and friends!
Low maintenance and very easy to grow, these poppies make a bold statement when planted as en masse, or as individual specimens. This plant is thankfully less sensitive to diseases than other varieties, and keeps green and healthy foliage for a long period of time, adding garden interest for months.
Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready to plant straight out into the garden.
