Product Information

That satisfying first bite of a freshly picked piece of fruit you have grown yourself is within reach, all thanks to this outstanding 'Peach Amber' Patio Tree.

Slightly short on garden space? Do not worry, as this variety has been expertly produced by one of the world-leading dwarf fruit tree breeders. See rose-pink blossom displays in spring, before the mouth-watering fruits grow towards the tail end of summer.

This tree is self-fertile, so will produce crops of juicy, red-skinned peaches, without the need of another nearby variety for pollination - what could be easier?

As with all peach trees, you can experience better crops by helping to pollinate the tree using a soft artist's paintbrush, rubbing it from flower to flower when blooms first emerge. You will be rewarded with amazing crops of amber-fleshed peaches - they just taste sublime picked straight from the tree, slightly warm from basking in the sun.

Supplied as a multi-branched dwarf tree at 50cm tall, bare root.

Top Tips

Keep foliage dry in spring to avoid 'Peach Leaf Curl' - placing under a canopy is absolutely fine.

Care Information

  • Although frost-tolerant, it is still best practice to protect the blossom with fleece, and pollination should be helped by transferring pollen to other flowers with a soft artist's brush.
  • When fruit appears, it will need thinning. Remove poorly placed, small, or misshapen fruits when they are about the width of your little fingernail. On peach trees, aim to have a fruit every 15cm or so.
  • Water container-grown trees almost every day during the growing season and give them a high potash liquid feed every couple of weeks.
  • Avoid excessive or irregular watering when fruit is ripening to prevent the skin from splitting.
  • As the fruit develops it may need protection from birds and squirrels.
