Description

Now you can grow three different varieties of apple in the space you’d usually need to grow just one!

With three of the most popular apples growing on one dwarfing rootstock, this trio will blossom and fruit just as they would if they were individual trees, ripening at their natural time, giving you a delicious crop of tasty, fresh apples.

The tree will thrive in a sunny border and, far from being a mere novelty, will mature into a highly productive tree. The individual varieties will pollinate each other and you can expect the first crop as soon as the year after planting.  This is also the perfect fruit tree for a large pot on the patio.

‘Braeburn’ - The UK's most popular eating apple variety by far and will easily grow and flourish superbly in your garden! The crisp and juicy, white-fleshed fruits have what is considered by most to be the perfect sweet/tangy flavour balance, literally providing a flavour explosion with every mouthful! The gorgeous fruit will be ready to pick fresh from your tree by mid-October.

'Bramley' is an incredibly heavy cropper once established, with high-quality fruits that will store through the winter months. Pick them in early October (before they get over-ripe) and store cold but frost-free for use until January.

‘Jonagold’ is a cross between apples ‘Jonathan’ and ‘Golden Delicious’, and is a ‘triploid’ variety, meaning that it has three sets of chromosomes instead of the usual two. Tiploid varieties are sterile, so they can’t pollinate themselves or other apple trees. They need other trees nearby to pollinate them, not an issue if you grow more than one apple in you garden, or if a nearby neighbour does!

Top Tips
Get trees established well in first year for earlier and bigger crops in future.
Care Information
  • Once established, apples need very little care. Keep well-watered especially during dry spells and if newly planted or in containers.
  • Apples thrive in a well-drained soil at least 60cm (2ft) deep. Add well rotted organic matter before planting and mulch and water well through the growing season until the tree is growing well.
  • In early spring, sprinkle a general fertiliser around the base of the tree.
  • Apples should be pruned every year to remove any dead or damaged branches and any over-long shoots.
  • Established trees can be mulched in mid-spring to help retain soil moisture, suppress weeds, and provide nitrogen.
  • Pruning should be carried out in spring or summer - avoid pruning in the dormant season or in mid to late autumn to reduce the risk of introducing disease

Delivery Information

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. Pre-ordered items will be sent as soon as possible after the date quoted and we'll generally ship your entire order with your pre-ordered items. When your order is dispatched, we'll send you another email with details of how to track it.

Most orders are sent on a fully-tracked courier service with Yodel. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, no signature is required, and our courier is asked to leave your order in a safe place on your property.

We'll send a tracking link when we dispatch your order, so you know when its due to arrive. Please note, once delivered we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your property. If you have any specific delivery instructions, please let us know - there's an option to enter a short message for the courier at the checkout.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery on a certain day or time. Delivery to outlying postcode areas may take 1-2 days longer, dependent on your location.
