Description
Living gifts that sparkle with festive joy and keep on giving long after the decorations are packed away. These glorious Holly 'Blue Maid' Standard Trees are supplied established, tall, and beautifully wrapped ready to gift and impress.
'Blue Maid' is no ordinary holly, it's a female variety with handsome, glossy blue-green leaves that are less spiky than traditional types. Foliage holds beautifully on the plants, making the topiary-style heads look full and healthy all year round, with tiny white spring flowers and the potential for berries in autumn, when grown near a male pollinator.
Fully hardy, even down to -27C, so there's no need to worry about winter chills. Just pop them in containers by the door, on the patio or balcony, or plant them straight into the border. Plus, they are evergreen, for year-round structure and colour, and they only need a light annual trim to keep the smart lollipop shape.
This set also features two sets of 25 warm white Firefly LED lights, perfect for decorating the trees. These sets of micro LEDs are strung along 2.9m of flexible copper wire. No plugs needed, just insert 3 x AA batteries (not included) into each, and go.
Supplied as a pair of established standard trees, approximately 80cm tall, each wrapped in brown hessian bag and tied with a red satin bow, plus two boxes of 25 LED Firefly String Lights on a 2.9m string.
Top Tips
Hollies need almost no maintenance if you keep them well-watered for the first couple of years to enable them to establish.
Care Information
- They are more or less trouble-free, with moderately fast growth.
- The more light that your holly receives, the more leaves it will produce, so plant it where it will get maximum light.
- For berry productions, be sure to plant alongside, or nearby, a male species holly tree.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.
Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
