Now this is a rose with heart. 'Dave The Plant Man' Rose isn't just beautiful to look at, it's doing something important too. With every rose sold, £5 is donated to support bowel cancer research charities, so you’re not just planting for pleasure, you're planting for purpose.
And what a rose it is. This variety produces classically shaped buds that open into full, double blooms of clear pink, each one carrying that unmistakable sweet, pure rose scent we all love. The foliage is glossy and mid-green, forming a tidy backdrop that shows off the flowers beautifully.
This is a floribunda with real presence. It blooms generously in flushes all summer long, and it’s well-suited to beds, borders and large patio containers. Named after Dave the Plantman, a member of internet gardening royalty! And while he may have a few good looks of his own, even he agrees the rose might have the edge.
This variety has been bred to be healthy, repeat-flowering and easy to grow. It makes a cracking gift, a lasting tribute, or simply a lovely way to support a worthy cause while adding beauty to your garden.
£5 from the sale of each rose will be donated to charities involved with bowel cancer research.
Supplied as a freshly potted, professional quality plant in a 4 litre pot, ready to plant.
To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems and also deadhead regularly.
Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.
When pruning, make sure that your secateurs are clean and sharp to prevent squashing stems and introducing disease.
Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.
