Product Information

The ever popular 'Snowdrop' is one of the first flowers to poke its head above ground in winter through to early spring.

A hardy dwarf perennial with a delicate fragrance and nodding, snow-white blooms.

This variety bursts open from narrow, dark grey-green stems, and are known as one of the most wonderful sights in the winter months.

They love dappled shade under trees and look even better when planted in drifts through grass, where they will naturalise easily and return in a denser spread the following year.

Alternatively, plant in groups at the front of borders and beds, or underplant alongside roses and healthy shrubs. At a time when little else is in flower, they also make an attractive feature in rock gardens and pots.

Fully deserving its coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, you can be sure that this is a proven garden performer, guaranteed to be suitable for UK gardeners at every level of experience. You can therefore plant this in the garden with confidence, for stunning displays for many years to come.

The versatile 'Snowdrop' is suitable for any space and will thrive in exposed or sheltered positions, ensuring it is an ideal addition for any garden.

Supplied as a pack of 30 bulbs for planting in the autumn, they will flower from January to March the following year, and your displays will only get better each year!

What Is Supplied

Item 600128 supplied as:
30 x Bulbs

Top Tips

  • Where bulbs are planted in grass, do not cut the grass until after the leaves have died back, a few weeks after flowering.
  • Divide every few years to split large clumps by lifting while the leaves are still green and break into smaller clumps for replanting.

Care Information

  • Plant bulbs 10cm deep in fertile, moist but well drained soil that will not dry out in summer.
  • Snowdrops thrive in partial shade, either in an exposed or sheltered position.
  • They are fine to plant even if a little green growth is showing, they'll just need a good watering when you plant them, and then only when the soil is dry.
  • Leave them in the ground once they die back - they'll come back bigger and better each year.
  • While all the energy that a bulb needs in order to grow is stored in the bulb itself, they will do better if you feed them when in active green growth.
  • Plant in moist borders and leave in the ground to naturalise.
  • If planted in pots be sure to water frequently and keep moist.
