Product Information

A strong and sturdy variety, Narcissus 'Tahiti' produces wonderful, bright-yellow double blooms with fiery-orange centres each spring.

Known as a true British favourite, Daffodils blowing in the breeze are a certain sign that spring is approaching. With distinctive flowers and a sweet scent, this variety is a must-have for any garden - and has been for hundreds of years.

Plant in pots, containers or straight in the ground this autumn for a fantastic display next spring and for years to come. For best impact, plant in groups of 6-10, in full sun or semi-shade, either on their own or with other spring-flowering bulbs of different colours for an eye-catching display.

They also make a fabulous cut flower – not least for their wonderfully strong fragrance – so be sure to plant enough to fill your vases, and even give some away to loved ones!

Supplied as a pack of 18 bulbs, size 12/14 ready for planting in the autumn.

Top Tips

  • For a natural look, throw a handful onto a grassy area and plant them where they fall.
  • Which way up? Usually pointy end up, but if you are not sure, plant the bulb on its side and it will right itself.
  • Propagate by removing offsets in the early summer to populate new areas.

Care Information

Planting advice for your Narcissus bulbs:
  • Plant 10-15cm deep and 10cm apart in sun or partial shade, in well-drained, fertile soil.
  • Spring-flowering bulbs should be planted in the autumn for displays next season. This allows them to establish a good root system before the weather becomes too cold.
  • Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots before planting to encourage faster and more reliable establishment.
  • Please check the bag for any additional planting instructions.
  • Use a good-quality potting compost such as our premium professional compost for the best results.
  • The bulbs are fine to plant even if a little green growth is showing; they will just need a good watering when you plant them, and thereafter only when the soil is dry.
  • Plant in herbaceous borders, in pots, or in the ground to naturalise.

Aftercare advice for your Narcissus bulbs:

  • Water frequently and if in pots, ensure that the compost doesn't dry out.
  • While all the energy that a bulb needs in order to grow is stored in the bulb itself, they will do better if you feed them when in active green growth.
  • Leave foliage to die back naturally after flowering; never tie up the foliage or cut it back while still green. This allows as much energy as possible to go back into the bulbs for the following year.
  • Leave them in the ground once they die back and they will come back with bigger and better displays each year.
