Care Information

How to grow annual:

  • Sow 0.5cm (¼in) deep, directly into prepared, well-drained soil.
  • Before sowing, rake the soil to a fine tilth and water well.
  • When seedlings appear (usually 14-28 days), thin them to 30cm (12in) apart.
  • Water well and regularly until plants are established.
  • Keep plants weed free to avoid competition.
  • For a more natural effect, sow in curves or loose blocks.
  • Flowers: June-October. Late summer and autumn sowings will flower the following year, often earlier than spring sowings.
