Cherished garden beauty when it is most needed and best appreciated - the winter flowering efforts of Hellebore 'Double Queen' are sure to impress!
Big, ruffled, and speckled double blooms decorate this perennial collection. Plus, each variety differs from one-another, having been grown from seed, leaving you with a stylish display of variation. You will get a stunning mix of colours, many with speckles and darker edges to their petals.
Brighten your garden while other plants are slumbering. These Hellebore even make excellent accompaniments to spring bulbs, as they flower from February to April. Although they appear delicate and dainty, the flowers are actually incredibly tough and hardy to withstand the weather - come rain, snow, or shine!
What's more, these cup-shaped blooms provide a valuable source of nectar for early pollinators buzzing around the garden, such as bumblebees. So easy to grow, establishing slowly into small clumps and increasing in number year after year, with displays potentially expanding upwards of 50 flowers after five years or so.
'Double Queen' thrive in rich, well-drained soil in dappled shade, with preferred soil conditions that are humus-rich and moist. They can also be grown in pots if space is limited, just don't let them dry out in the summer heat.
Supplied as a mix of six plug plants, ready to pot or plant out.
