Product Information

Style and class in abundance – the ‘Bressingham Purple’ Polemonium is a gardening delight with fern-like foliage and sumptuous blooms.

Many will know Polemonium as Jacob’s Ladder, a name inspired by the pairs of leaves that stretch up this plant’s stems and mirror a ladder.

A real problem-solver for avid gardeners on the lookout for blooms that continue to evolve and impress across several months.

In springtime, see cupped flowers with lilac-mauve petals and bright yellow anthers as they emerge upright and strong on slender stems from dark purple foliage. Moving into summer, the dark plant gently becomes tinged in green, before darkening back to purple when days shorten, and autumn begins.

The benefits of this hardy and herbaceous perennial can even be shared with the inside of your home, as the long stems are perfect for cutting and placing in a swanky vase.

Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready for planting.
