Divine and notably glossy brown leaves emerge so dark, you would think they are black! These evergreen shrubs soon become coated in rich leaves edged in a dazzling shade of pink that cuts through the darkness with ease and look impressive regardless of the month.
This light to dark contrast is truly striking and is sure to be a talking point amongst your garden’s guests.
Also known as ‘Looking Glass Plants’, as you can almost see yourself in the deep, dark leaves. The foliage makes an idyllic backdrop for summertime scatterings of dainty white flowers for even more colour variation.
Remaining relatively compact as they grow, these flowering shrubs thrive in all manner of soil types, levels of shade, and garden scenarios, from beds and borders to patio pots.
What’s more, they are superbly low-maintenance, perfect for those gardeners with little time on their hands, or who wish to grow shrubs that ‘do their own thing!’
Supplied as a set of three established plants in 9cm pots, ready for planting.
If you're planting into pots, place some old rocks, stones or gravel in the bottom of the pot for drainage and ballast and use the best compost you can buy and some sand or grit for drainage.
