Product Information

Beautiful tulips and crocus blooms herald the arrival of spring, and there’s nothing more exciting than the sight of their bright colours emerging from the ground to mark the end of winter.

This great value collection combines the instantly recognisable crocus with compact and robust early tulips for a display that will get any garden noticed.

With a distinctive goblet form, 'Blue Crocus' are an iconic spring flower. Opening with the sun and closing at dusk, they will continue to bloom with bigger and better displays year after year!

'Johann Strauss', meanwhile, is a compact tulip at just 25cm in height, with blue-green mottled leaves. The flowers are cream, flushed with red and yellow, to make a truly outstanding display.

Perfect in pots, the crocus will flower from February to March, then, blooming from March, the early tulips take over and extend the show. Plant these bulbs in pots or straight into flowerbeds to be enjoyed from late February onwards.

Supplied as a pack of 30 bulbs, ready for planting out in autumn.

Top Tips

Which way up? Usually pointy end up, but if you are not sure, plant the bulb on its side and it will eventually right itself.

Care Information

Planting Advice for your bulbs:

  • Plant bulbs at twice the depth of the height of the bulb and four times their width apart, e.g. 5cm tall bulbs need to be planted 10cm below the surface of the ground and 20cm apart.
  • Please check the bag for any additional planting instructions.
  • They are fine to plant even if a little green growth is showing; they will just need a good watering when you plant them, and thereafter only when the soil is dry.
  • Leave them in the ground once they die back – they will come back bigger and better each year.
  • While all the energy that a bulb needs in order to grow is stored in the bulb itself, they will do better if you feed them when in active green growth.
  • Plant in herbaceous borders, in pots, or leave in the ground to naturalise. If planted in pots, be sure to water frequently and keep moist.

Aftercare Advice for your bulb collection:

  • Spring-flowering bulbs should be planted in the autumn for displays next season. Some bulbs such as tulips can be planted as late as November, but it is best to get your bulbs in the ground as early in autumn as possible so that they can establish a good root system before the weather becomes too cold.
  • Plant in herbaceous borders, in pots, or leave in the ground to naturalise.
  • Water frequently and if in pots, ensure that the compost doesn't dry out.
