Description

Daffodils welcome spring with bright and cheerful flowers in a range of colours and shapes, and this miniature variety is a certain must-have for any garden!

Our delightful Narcissus 'Miniature Mix' boasts a range of sunny yellow shades that look outstandingly wonderful when mixed together.

They may be short in stature with small flowers but that only adds to their appeal, as adorably perfect miniature versions of their bigger, showier relatives.

Miniature daffodils are perfect for underplanting shrubs and scattering through lawns and woodland areas for a naturalistic effect, where their bright flowers shine like little stars. They’re also superb when planted in pots, either indoors or out.

For best impact, grow in sun or partial shade, and they’ll quickly naturalise, returning in greater numbers year after year.

Supplied as 35 bulbs, size 8/10, ready to plant from autumn.

Top Tips
  • For a natural look, throw a handful onto a grassy area and then plant them where they fall.
Care Information

Planting Advice for your Narcissus Bulbs

  • Plant bulbs at twice the depth of the height of the bulb and four times their width apart. e.g. 5cm tall bulbs need to be planted 10cm below the surface of the ground and 20cm apart.
  • They are fine to plant even if a little green growth is showing, they’ll just need a good watering when you plant them, and then only when the soil is dry.
  • Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots before planting to encourage faster and more reliable establishment.
  • Leave them in the ground once they die back for flowers again next year.
  • While all the energy that a bulb needs in order to grow is stored in the bulb itself, they will do better if you feed them when in active green growth.
  • Plant in herbaceous borders, in pots, or leave in the ground to naturalise.
  • If planted in pots be sure to water frequently and keep moist.

Aftercare Advice

  • Daffodils can be planted as late as December, but it’s best to get your bulbs in the ground so that they can establish a good root system before the weather becomes too cold.
  • Plant in herbaceous borders, in pots, or leave in the ground to naturalise.
  • Water frequently and if in pots ensure that the compost doesn't dry out.

Cutting back you daffodils

  • Once flowering is over, it is important to leave the leaves on until they have died right down, usually by early summer. This allows the bulb to store food and produce flowers the following year.
  • Never tie up the leaves or cut it back whilst it is still green.
Delivery Information

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. Pre-ordered items will be sent as soon as possible after the date quoted and we'll generally ship your entire order with your pre-ordered items. When your order is dispatched, we'll send you another email with details of how to track it.

Most orders are sent on a fully-tracked courier service with Yodel. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, no signature is required, and our courier is asked to leave your order in a safe place on your property.

We'll send a tracking link when we dispatch your order, so you know when its due to arrive. Please note, once delivered we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your property. If you have any specific delivery instructions, please let us know - there's an option to enter a short message for the courier at the checkout.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery on a certain day or time. Delivery to outlying postcode areas may take 1-2 days longer, dependent on your location.
