Transform your garden into a tropical paradise with this fantastically exotic Fan Palm. Chamaerops humilis, also known as the Dwarf Fan Palm, are the palms you will see across the Mediterranean - and if ever there was a plant to bring a holiday feel to the garden, then this is it!
Despite boasting tropical good looks, fan palms are actually hardy to -5C, so will withstand frost but benefit from shelter if temperatures drop too low.
Large rounded leaves are cut into linear, fan-like segments, growing abundantly and forming a round, compact bush. These Chamaerops humilis are perfect for pots on the patio or they'll make a striking spectacle in a sunny border.
Like all palms, Chamaerops are very easy to grow and love hot sunny weather plus they become drought tolerant once established so are a great option for those who sometimes forget to water their plants!
Supplied as an established plant in a 20cm pot, ready for planting. This will already stand roughly 60-80cm tall.
Water regularly when in active growth and feed with a balanced fertiliser once a month. Water sparingly in winter.
