Give your home a bit of life, movement and easygoing greenery with Ficus benjamina 'Kinky Jute'. This houseplant does it all, it's a compact weeping fig that brings elegance, texture and a splash of drama to any room, with minimal effort required.
It's the lush canopy of glossy green leaves that catches the eye, fresh, full and vibrant. Take a closer look to see a thick central trunk wrapped in natural jute, giving it a tactile, sculptural quality. As the plant matures, slender stems begin to arch gracefully downwards, creating a soft, flowing silhouette that lives up to the name 'Weeping Fig'.
A proud holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, which means it's been rigorously tested and proven as a strong, reliable performer, even for first-time plant parents. Once you've found it a good spot, away from draughts and with plenty of light (but not direct sunlight), it really doesn't ask for much. A little water when dry, an occasional wipe of the leaves, and it will reward you with years of healthy, upright growth.

Care Information
- Find a bright spot away from direct sunlight, not close to a radiator or other heat source, and away from draughts.
- Water with tepid water when the soil is just starting to dry out on the surface, but don't let it dry out completely - during the winter you can reduce watering.
- Mist the leaves in the summer months, and feed with a liquid fertiliser during the growing season.
- If your Ficus benjamina begins to lose its leaves it may be too dry or in a draught. Plunge the pot into a bucket of water for an hour to let it soak and then move in front of a light window.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.
Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
