Description

If you love the tall white spathes of a Peace Lily, you're going to adore this one too - it has the same elegant shape but in vibrant pink, and the display lasts for months on end.

Stepping straight out of a tropical resort, Anthurium 'Lilli', known as the Flamingo Flower, brings long-lasting colour and style to your home's houseplant collection.

The striking pink 'flowers' are actually spathes, which are colourful, waxy leaves that surround a central tower of tiny blooms. They last for an incredibly long time, often several months before fading. The gorgeous spathes stand out beautifully against rich, glossy, heart-shaped foliage.

Plus, 'Lilli' is easy to care for. It's compact, only growing to around 50cm tall, so it won't take over your space. It thrives in bright, filtered light and enjoys the same warm indoor conditions as you do, between 18-24C. Be sure to keep it away from radiators and cold draughts.

This plant makes a superb gift, bringing a burst of natural colour and charm to anyone's home. Whether you’re brightening your own kitchen, office or living room, or surprising a loved one, Anthurium ‘Lilli’ always makes an impression.

Supplied as an established plant in a 17cm bowl, ready to display. The pictured ornamental pot is for illustrative purposes only, and is not included.

Top Tips
Wipe the leaves occasionally with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and restore their natural shine. Remove any faded spathes to encourage new growth and longer flowering. With the right care, 'Lilli' will produce vibrant pink spathes for months at a time.
Care Information
  • When your plant arrives: Unpack your Anthurium 'Lilli' straight away and remove all packaging from around the pot and foliage. Check the compost, it should feel just slightly moist. If it feels dry, give it a light watering, allowing any excess to drain away before returning it to its pot cover or decorative container.
  • Where to place it: Choose a bright spot indoors with plenty of natural, filtered light. Avoid placing it in harsh, direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves, or in dark corners where growth may slow. Keep it away from draughts, radiators or open fires, as sudden temperature changes can stress the plant. Anthuriums thrive in normal home temperatures of 18-24C and enjoy a little humidity, so kitchens or bathrooms can be ideal.
  • Displaying your plant: 'Lilli' looks fantastic displayed in one of our decorative indoor pot covers, always opt for a cover that is slightly larger than the nursery pot your houseplant is supplied in. Go for a design that complements the pink spathes and glossy green leaves - think neutral tones, soft metallics or textured ceramics, as these all work beautifully. Remember to lift the plant out for watering and allow any excess water to drain before replacing it in the cover.
  • Watering: Anthuriums like evenly moist compost, but not wet. Water when the top few centimetres of compost feel dry, then allow it to drain thoroughly. Overwatering is the only real mistake to avoid.
