Space-saving compact houseplant with all the foliage style of a Swiss Cheese Plant!
Often called the Monkey Mask Plant, Monstera adansonii boasts distinctive leaves - deep green, heart shaped and peppered with natural holes. The common name of 'Monkey Mask' comes from that playful leaf shape, and once you see it, you cannot unsee it.
This tropical perennial houseplant is far easier to grow and care for than you may expect. It grows steadily rather than rampantly, making it ideal for modern homes where space matters. Indoors, it typically reaches around one to two metres tall over time, especially when trained onto the moss pole it is supplied with. That support encourages strong upward growth and keeps the plant looking tidy rather than sprawling.
It thrives in bright, indirect light and it loves some humidity. Bathrooms and kitchens are fantastic spots, but it is just as happy in living spaces if kept away from harsh direct sun.

Best grown in bright light otherwise growth will be spindly and new leaves will lose their holes.
Care Information
- Best grown in indirect sunlight in an average room temperature - avoid large temperature fluctuations.
- Water regularly and allow the soil to dry a bit between watering.
- Feed once a month with a general-purpose liquid houseplant feed.
- Mist leaves to maintain humidity.
- Clean leaves regularly with a damp cloth.
- Do not place in direct sunlight, as this will scorch and yellow the leaves.
- As with all houseplants, keep away from children and pets and take care when handling.
