Description

Nobody Does Trailing Pansies Quite Like The 'Cool Wave' Series, And 'Violet Blue' Might Just Be The Most Eye-Catching Variety Yet!!

Those blooms are something else entirely, with each flower carrying a rich violet cap over a vivid blue face, creating a two-tone effect that gives your containers and baskets a depth of colour that ordinary pansies simply cannot match.

And because these are 'Cool Wave' pansies, you get a lot of them! Masses of big, traditional flowers tumbling freely over the sides of baskets and pots, or spreading low and wide across the front of a border to fill gaps that nothing else seems to reach.

It is one of the fastest-growing trailing pansies you can buy, building a full, lush display with impressive speed from the moment it goes in. Better still, it is built to last. 'Cool Wave' varieties are renowned for their toughness, shrugging off autumn chill and winter frost to keep on flowering when lesser plants call it a day, then bouncing back with renewed vigour as spring arrives.

Plant up in autumn, give it a sunny or lightly shaded spot and let it get on with the job. The results will speak for themselves.

Care Information

Planting Advice for 'Cool Wave' Pansies:

  • Plant straight into baskets and grow on for a week or two before hanging up.
  • Give your plants a good water initially, then only when the top compost starts to dry. They don’t like to be left in standing water.
  • Plant approximately 20cm apart to allow them room to grow.
  • Feed using a high-potash feed such as Blooming Fast Superior Soluble Fertiliser for Flowers & Fruits, to encourage flowering.
  • Dead head when flowers fade to encourage more flowers.

Aftercare Advice for 'Cool Wave' Pansies:

  • Regular maintenance and watering are essential to grow fabulous baskets that last the whole season.
  • Check and water baskets every day in summer, (unless the compost is wet).
  • Aim to keep the compost moist but not soggy and avoid wetting the foliage and flowers.
  • From March to June, apply a general-purpose liquid fertiliser once a week.

Pruning And Trimming Advice for 'Cool Wave' Pansies:

  • Deadhead and trim your plants regularly to maintain shape and encourage new flowers.
  • Do not allow plants to set seed.
Delivery Information

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. Pre-ordered items will be sent as soon as possible after the date quoted and we'll generally ship your entire order with your pre-ordered items. When your order is dispatched, we'll send you another email with details of how to track it.

Most orders are sent on a fully-tracked courier service with Yodel. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, no signature is required, and our courier is asked to leave your order in a safe place on your property.

We'll send a tracking link when we dispatch your order, so you know when its due to arrive. Please note, once delivered we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your property. If you have any specific delivery instructions, please let us know - there's an option to enter a short message for the courier at the checkout.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery on a certain day or time. Delivery to outlying postcode areas may take 1-2 days longer, dependent on your location.
