Product Information

If you are looking for that perfect gift for a gin lover, here is an unusual and versatile solution!

All packed up in an attractive, miniature wooden crate, this Indoor Gin Garnish Kit provides all you need to grow two favourite aromatic herbs that will really perk up a gin and tonic. Of course, you can also use them in your cooking, picked fresh from the plant.

Once you have sown your seeds, the zinc planter is best positioned in a sunny position indoors ideal for your kitchen windowsill or conservatory. Once the seedlings are established, they will grow quickly and provide you with plenty of fresh new tips to snip off all year round. The plants will grow happily in their planter but will also thrive in a sunny, well drained spot in the garden.

Supplied as a zinc planter in a wooden crate with compost and seeds.

Top Tips

  • Trim back thyme after flowering to encourage new growth.
  • Rosemary leaves are best used when young and succulent, so cut spikes regularly from your plant for a plentiful supply of new growth.

Care Information

  • Keep well-watered so that the compost doesn't dry out and is moist but not over-wet.
  • Both herbs will grow happily in the container, but if you do want to eventually plant them outdoors, choose a sunny but sheltered position. The rosemary will eventually grow to 150 cm (5 ft) in height and spread and the thyme to 30 cm (1 ft) in height and 45 cm (18 in) spread.
